Chronology of cameras Beauty
It bears a resemblance to the Petri 7 with its viewfinder/rangefinder line and the circular cell around the lens, but the quality of this camera is at a much higher level.
It features an interesting shutter release locking system: when the winding lever is at its limit, it is impossible to depress the shutter release. The lever needs to be slightly retracted to unlock it.
Exposure adjustment is achieved by aligning a needle visible in both the viewfinder and on the camera body (making it a semi-automatic camera).
It's a heavy, beautiful, and well-built camera. The Beauty LightOMatic III appears absolutely identical; one might assume it had a different name in the domestic and export markets.
Technical specifications: rangefinder with a fixed lens (Nitto Biokor S 1.9/45 on a Copal SV shutter) and a coupled light meter.
Upon receiving it, the winding was blocked. I disassembled the base to set things right, and it now functions normally.
